The Valle Gesso Campsite is the ideal place for those looking for tranquillity, fresh air and relaxation, although there are a number of opportunities to practice sports amidst nature and enjoy yourselves. Along with those available on the campsite, there are a number of activities to be enjoyed and attractions worth visiting in the surrounding area.

 

Children, together with their parents or grandparents, can enjoy pleasant walks amidst nature up to the town of Entracque and the ‘Uomini e Lupi’ Visitor Centres nearby, which come highly recommended by everyone.

For those who love mountains and adventure, there are opportunities to practice sports and have fun: wonderful excursions in the heart of the Park, exhilarating climbs up the Andonno cliffs and what is more, fun mountain bike rides, exciting rafting trips and relaxing horse riding tours. And in the winter, when the landscape is blanketed in snow, the Alpine ski and Nordic ski resorts nearby offer snow-covered and fully-equipped slopes to entertain both adults and children.

There are a number of attractions and excursions available around the campsite, the main attractions are listed below: the ‘Uomini e Lupi’ visitor centre, the Valdieri Thermal Baths, the Valderia Botanical Garden, the Necropolis of Valdieri, the Rye Eco-museum and the “Luigi Einaudi” hydroelectric plant.

The towns of Borgo San Dalmazzo and Cuneo are just a 30-minute drive away. Turin, Piedmont’s regional capital and Italy’s first capital, and the Langhe, an area renowned for its excellent wines, are about 100 km away and if you head some 90 km south, you will arrive at the waters of the Riviera Ligure or the French Riviera.
